The slimmest watch phone S9110 has been unveiled by Samsung. A statement here on Thursday said that Samsung Electronics, a leading mobile phone manufacturer, has announced the launch of the S9110, a cutting-edge watchphone featuring a full touch screen. It said that the watchphone is basically a wrist-watch which comprises of all the features of a cellular phone. The statement further maintained that Samsung once again proves its prowess in the market.
Zeeshan Qureshi, Head of Samsung mobiles, Pakistan and Afghanistan stated that this sleek S9110 is mere 11.98mm thick thanks to the companys advanced surface mounting technology, making it the slimmest watchphone device in the market. Featuring a 1.76 full touch screen customized for the wrist-watch form factor, the S9110 aims to attract mobile phone users who want a unique fashion item that keeps them connected on the go.
The statement pointed out that in 1999, Samsung introduced the worlds first watch phone, the SPH-WP10, which became a landmark product in the mobile industry.
It said that the company has continued to bring newer innovative products in the market for not only mobile phones but LCD TVs and LED TVs also.

O2 gets Samsung’s first Android phone
O2 has confirmed it will launch Samsung’s first Android handset, the i7500 Galaxy in August.
The phone has the latest Android 1.5 software update, a five-megapixel camera with flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It also has 8GB of internal memory as well as a microSD slot for expansion, and is the thinnest Android phone on the market at 11.9mm.
O2 was unable to confirm pricing; however, it has been listed as £500 on Sim-free sites.

Samsung Omnia in India to take on Apple iPhone 3G
South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has now launched their Omnia mobile phone in the Indian market.
Samsung Omnia is seen as the company’s challenger to the Apple iPhone 3G.
The phone comes powered with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional platform.
It is now on sale in India for prices between Rs 37,999 (24GB) and Rs 39,999 (32GB) which is slightly higher than the Apple iPhone 3G 16GB model.
Samsung Omnia comes preloaded with MS Office mobile edition. Samsung Telecom country head Sunil Dutt spoke about this new model: “With all the features included in the mobile phone, one can easily make out the difference. It is our flagship model, aimed at users who desire a lot of functionality, style, usability and entertainment in one device. It will help users to be at the forefront of work and play at the same time and stay connected anytime, anywhere.”
The phone features a five megapixel auto focus camera and GPS.
